FALMOUTH is a town full of history and picturesque narrow streets with a wide variety of shops and one of the worlds largest natural deep-water harbours providing ample opportunities for sailing, sea-angling and many pleasure boat trips to the River Fal, St Mawes and the nearby Helford River. There are four lovely beaches to relax, swim or explore rock pools or, for the more energetic, diving and wind surfing; also unforgettable coastal walks, sub-tropical gardens and Pendennis castle on the headland at the south of the estuary from which there are splendid views for miles around.
LOCAL AMENITIES include an 18 course golf course on the coast with magnificent views, tennis and squash courts, wind-surfing, sea-fishing, coarse and fly fishing in the nearby reservoirs, coastal walks, river trips, public gardens, art gallery, martime museum and pendennis castle. Falmouth is an ideal touring centre.
