About Gyllyngdune Manor
Our apartment and balcony overlooks a private lawned area, Gyllyngdune gardens and then out to sea.
Our airy apartment sleeps up to 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with 2 single beds. There’s an en-suite shower room and a main bathroom. The living area is open plan with a modern kitchen, dinning area and comfortable lounge area. There’s a TV and DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs which just keeps growing! The balcony stretches the whole length of the living area. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine and free Wi-Fi. All bedding is included apart from towels. Our private parking space is conveniently positioned close to the main door.
So many places are easily accessible either by foot, ferry, train or bus. It’s not necessary to use the car. Within a few minutes walk you are on the sea front where you can take an easy walk along the promenade, or enjoy Gyllyngvase beach where there’s plenty going on or to the quieter Castle beach. Castle beach has a small café and Gyllyngvase beach has the very popular Gylly Beach Café where you can just stop for a coffee or a delicious meal.
The town and harbour area is about a 10 minute walk where you’ll find interesting shops, galleries and numerous restaurants. Falmouth is also home to Cornwall’s National Maritime museum. Gyllyngdune Manor is adjacent to the Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune gardens. Within the Pavilion there’s a very handy Bistro (seasonal), plus lots of other things going on there.
You can walk (or drive) to the harbour and take a ferry to places like Truro, St Mawes or Flushing. From Flushing you can take a beautiful scenic walk to Mylor. So many places to explore!
Easy access to the coastal paths for some great walks. The train station is about a 5 minute walk where you can take the train to Truro for some great shopping and sightseeing.
The lovely gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are only a 15 minute drive away, and usually when you visit Trebah your ticket allows you entry for the whole week-my family’s favourite garden. Then of course Falmouth is well positioned for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
We have been letting our apartment for nearly 10 years. It’s owned by us and I deal with all bookings and enquiries and you can be assure a personal service. We have a lovely lady who looks after our apartment and gets it ready for our guests.
Falmouth is a great place all year round (it doesn’t close up for the winter), and our apartment with central heating is ideal.
It’s a non smoking apartment. Sorry no pets, and not suitable for young children.
