Falmouth Events
Find events in Falmouth and the surrounding area in our annual events guide. With a rich maritime heritage and the third largest natural harbour in the world, Falmouth plays host to many events. Festivals throughout the year, both on and off the water. We have everything from the Falmouth Week yachting regatta and the Sea Shanty Festival to historic events at Pendennis Castle. Falmouth has a great community spirit and town events like the spring festivals are typical occasions.
Christmas is a great time to visit Falmouth with numerous exciting events taking place over the entire festive period from Christmas to New Year. We have Nadelik, a special Cornish Christmas event held at the historic Pendennis Castle. In addition, we have the Santa Fun Run, the Christmas Carol Concert and Falmouth Live Nativity.
Winter is also a good time to visit Falmouth as we have a mild sub tropical climate. So you can still enjoy a stroll along the sea front or a longer walk on the coast path. It is a good time to see Falmouth when it is quiet and peaceful.

Falmouth Beer Festival 2025
Friday 26th & Saturday 27th September 2025
This annual festival celebrates rich brewing heritage, offering a diverse selection of over 100 handpicked craft beers, real ales, and ciders. Beyond the extensive beverage offerings, the event features live music performances, street food vendors, and engaging tasting sessions.
The Princess Pavilion provides a picturesque setting for the festival, nestled within the beautiful Gyllyngdune Gardens. The venue is easily accessible, with Falmouth Town train station, Gyllyngvase Beach, and the town centre just a short five-minute stroll away.
Tickets for the festival are available from the See Tickets website. Each ticket grants weekend entry to the festival, a festival glass, a pint's worth of beer tokens, and a festival programme.

Falmouth Oyster Festival 2025
Thursday 9th - 12th October 2025
The highlight of Falmouth’s Autumn calendar is this nationally recognised, award-winning annual festival which celebrates the start of the oyster dredging season. Including an oyster bar, a wide variety of seafood, wines and champagne, real ales and stouts, arts, crafts, food and drink halls, chef demos and all that is best in Cornish musical entertainment.

Events at the Poly
Operating out of The Poly building in the heart of Falmouth, the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society is a charity dedicated to promotion of the arts and science in the county of Cornwall since 1833. Do keep an eye of their own list of events, films and shows constantly keeping you entertained.

Spring Flower Show 2026
Saturday & Sunday Dates TBC 2026
One of Falmouth's great traditional shows since 1910 the Show usually takes place the last week-end in March and is the first in a line of successive flower shows which take place around Cornwall to show case the best of Cornwall spring flowers. Many growers exhibit here.
The show is staged at the Princes Pavilion, Falmouth.

Falmouth Food Festival

Falmouth Food Festival is back for our third year to celebrate great food, live music, and local creativity. Established on the waterfront, FFF features some of the best food vendors from Cornwall, live music, chef demos and unique crafts. Sea Shanty Festival 2026
Friday 12th - 14th June 2026
Falmouth’s International Sea Shanty Festival was founded in 2003 with a mission is to keep the history of the sea alive; the days of sail by performing sea shanties, songs of the sea and Cornish songs. Spread across from Friday until Sunday, featuring pop-up bars and music stages throughout Falmouth town, bringing shanty groups from across the UK, Brittany, Holland, Spain, Canada and Ireland together in a celebration of all things nautical.

The Falmouth Classics
Friday 12th - 14th June 2026
Falmouth Classics features three days of enjoyable racing and a spectacular Parade of Classic Boats and the Small Classic Boat Parade. Since it began, in 1987, Falmouth Classics has steadily grown to be one of the largest Classic sailing events in the UK.
Falmouth is recognised as having some of the best sailing waters in the world in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay. There are also many vantage points for spectators to view the events.
The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival takes place at the same time and over 65,000 visitors flock to Falmouth.

Falmouth Week 2026
FRIDAY 7th AUGUST - SUNDAY 16th AUGUST. 2026
Falmouth Week has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the south west with more than 400 yachts racing over eight days. Live music each evening and loads more to entertain including the RAF Red Arrows will be soaring over Falmouth Bay on Wednesday 13th August at 6.15pm.

RNLI Castle to Castle Swim

The Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.
This popular event is strictly limited to 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers.
Registration for the swim is £ £33.22 and we ask everyone to pledge to raise £50 through sponsorship.

Enys Chamber Music Festival
