Quality in Falmouth
The Quality in Falmouth scheme is run by Rosemary Riddette-Gregory on behalf of the Falmouth and District Hotels Association (FDHA) and is aimed at a range of accommodation providers including smaller hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfast establishments. The scheme also encompasses both single and multiple unit self catering providers. Rosemary has a wealth of experience in both the local tourism industry and the wider hotel and catering industry.
Quality in Falmouth membership inspections cover four main areas and aim to ensure that properties we inspect are safe, clean, legal and green. The overall quality of the property is also inspected covering everything from furnishings to seasonal flower displays.
In terms of cleanliness, every guest bedroom and bath or shower room will be inspected. All public areas both inside and outside will also be inspected. In self catering establishments the kitchen will be inspected and the inventory will be checked.
Owners will be asked to detail any green or sustainable actions and practices they are operating in their establishment.
Safe and Legal
Quality in Falmouth has a checklist of all legislation covering holiday accommodation and Rosemary can check and advise on everything from fire risk assessments to data protection. Once the inspection has been successfully completed, members will be asked to sign a form to agree they are complying with all legislation appertaining to their property.
If you book accommodation with a Quality in Falmouth approved provider you can be assured that the property is safe, clean, legal and green. Just look for the Quality in Falmouth (QiF) logo displayed alongside their Visit Falmouth listing or on their website.
